MONTENEGRO

Montenegro, an undiscovered gem of the Balkans, welcomes travelers with landscapes straight out of a fairytale: wild beaches and medieval towns brimming with charm. From the breathtaking fjords of the Bay of Kotor to the picturesque villages of the Durmitor mountains, every corner holds a unique experience.

The sun shines here for 250 days a year, and many beaches have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag.

This small country, nestled along the Adriatic coast, is a treasure trove of wonders—ancient fortresses, majestic mountains, and turquoise lakes all packed into a compact, yet rich destination.

Here, the sea meets the mountains in postcard-perfect scenes—an ideal setting for adventure, relaxation, or a romantic getaway.

The peak tourist season runs from June to August, when the weather is most favorable. April–May and September–October are considered quieter months, and in autumn, the sea remains pleasantly warm.

Although Montenegro’s entire coastline stretches only about 73 kilometers, the beaches vary greatly from one area to another. You’ll find sandy, pebbly, rocky, and even man-made platform beaches!

Along the coast are some of the country’s most scenic resort towns, each with its own unique character.

In Montenegro, coastal areas are often referred to as rivieras. The Montenegrin coast is typically divided into the Budva, Ulcinj, Bar, Tivat Riviera, and Herceg Novi Rivieras.

Most visitors come for the beach, many enjoy excursions, and some travel here on religious pilgrimages.
